Delete Your Account

You may delete your Optima account at any time. Account deletion is final and cannot be undone.

🔐 No SMS verification required: in-app deletion requires only your current password. Email-based deletion is verified by the email address from which the request is sent. No SMS / OTP is needed — this is important for international users who may not be able to receive Israeli SMS.

How to Delete Your Account — In-App

  1. Open the Optima app on your phone
  2. Tap the Settings tab (bottom navigation)
  3. Tap Profile
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm the deletion

How to Delete Your Account — Web Request

If you no longer have access to the app, email us at [email protected]from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Delete My Account”. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 7 business days.

What Is Deleted Immediately

What Is Retained

For operational history, safety audit, and legal compliance, the following data is retained in anonymized form (no longer linked to you personally):

Anonymization means: your name is replaced with “Deleted User”, your email and phone are removed, and no personal identifier remains that could link the data back to you.

Direct Chat Messages

Your one-on-one chat messages remain visible to the other participant, but your identity is shown as “Deleted User”.

Photos You Attached to Incident Reports

Photos attached to faults or events remain part of the incident record but are no longer associated with your identity.
